Description
Vladimir Kagan’s Fire Side Chair looks just as current today as when it debuted in 1949. Although small in scale, this chic chair achieves a voluptuous profile with its uniquely tapered back and sculpted upholstery. Available with a choice of base, including sculpted wooden legs for a classic look, a metal swivel base for a touch of glamour or a low plinth to best align with Kagan’s sculptural sofas.

Kiln-dried solid maple internal frames are built to order for signature durability.

Constructed with 8-way hand-tied springs in the seat and sculpted back upholstery with layers of multi-density foam for consistent comfort.

Respect for traditional handcraft promises “Heirloom Quality,” while modern materials and techniques maintain longevity and performance.

Available with hand-sculpted tapered legs in solid walnut or maple wood, a low-profile plinth in solid wood or a selection of metal veneers, or a metal swivel base in nickel or brass with brushed or polished finish, or an antique brass finish.

- Remove dust with a dry or damp lint-free microfiber cloth.
- Gentle hand dishwashing liquid diluted with water and applied with a microfiber cloth can be used for periodic cleaning.
- A silicone-free cleaner formulated specifically for wood furniture (like Guardsman Anytime Clean & Polish) can also be used when needed. Spray cleaner on cloth – never directly on the wood surface.
- Thoroughly dry the piece with a soft cloth after application of any moisture.
- Never use solvents or abrasives or cleaners not specifically designed for use on fine wood furniture.
- Limit direct exposure to UV light sources as it can cause wood colors to change.
- The use of placemats and coasters will help to avoid superficial scratches. Installing felt dots on the underside of objects also helps to preserve the surface.
- If the finish on well-loved VLADIMIR KAGAN furniture looks tired, an application of Howard Feed-N-Wax Wood Polish and Conditioner will rejuvenate your product. Closely follow the manufacturer’s instructions for use.
