McCollin Bryan
McCollin Bryan is a London-based studio with a distinctive portfolio of material-focused sculptural furniture and collectible designs that they describe as “interior jewelry.”
In their furniture and objects, McCollin Bryan has built their reputation on using two signature materials: resin and plaster. With resin, their pieces cast forms and refract light, creating seductive depths of color, while the scagliola technique transforms their plaster pieces into “imaginary marble.”
Don McCollin and Maureen Bryan established McCollin Bryan in 1998. McCollin began his career studying textiles at the Royal College of Art, giving him an excellent eye for textures and patterns, whereas Bryan studied ceramics at Middlesex Polytechnic, affording her a keen ability to focus on the structural impact of designs.
McCollin Bryan’s distinctive work shares a mutual devotion to materials, shape and function with the HOLLY HUNT portfolio. Their exceptional quality of material and the use of craft-centric methods produces pieces that stand the test of time and draw forth something new and unexpected.
