Spirit Fruit

Spirit Fruit

  • Description
Spirit Fruit is a hand-blown glass vessel created by artist Jeremy Maxwell Wintrebert in his Paris studio. The sculptural, kinetic form is birthed in a delicate dance between maker and molten material, which involves blowing a sphere that is allowed to collapse on itself in a feat of gravity and movement. Spirit Fruit is a more diminutive re-edition of a series Wintrebert originally conceived and produced in 2012; pieces from that edition were acquired by the Mudac Collection (Lausanne, Switzerland), the Art Collection of Veste Coburg (Germany) and the Collection of the Glass Museum Alter Hof Herding, Ernsting Foundation (Germany). Available in four custom colors, each sculpture is one of a kind and signed by the artist.

JMW Studio

JMW Studio was founded in 2015 by Jeremy Maxwell Wintrebert, an internationally acclaimed glass blower known for large-scale illuminated sculptures and installations. Wintrebert is a passionate advocate for preserving the art of glass blowing. The location of his street-level atelier, in an 1850s viaduct in Paris, was specifically chosen to enable passers-by to catch glimpses of the magic happening within. The studio’s small yet highly specialized team realizes Wintrebert’s original designs in free-blown glass, using age-old techniques that he mastered while apprenticing at esteemed glass studios worldwide, including Dale Chihuly in Seattle and Davide Salvadore in Murano.
