- Remove dust with a dry or damp lint-free microfiber cloth.
- Gentle hand dishwashing liquid diluted with water and applied with a microfiber cloth can be used for periodic cleaning.
- Thoroughly dry the piece with a soft cloth after application of any moisture.
- Never use solvents or abrasives.
- To maintain the durability and shine of saddle leather, HOLLY HUNT recommends frequent dusting with a dry lint-free microfiber cloth. If the leather begins to look or feel dry, we recommend the application of specially formulated leather conditioner like Lexol.
- Avoid exposing saddle leather surfaces to direct sunlight or sources of intense heat. To maintain color and uniformity, it is important to keep saddle leather away from heaters, fireplaces and windows.
- Avoid scrubbing the surface of the leather and be careful with pointed or sharp objects that could scratch it. Avoid using solvents and alcohol or ammonia-based cleaners because they could permanently alter the appearance of the saddle leather.
- For stains caused by liquids or other substances accidentally spilled onto saddle leather upholstery, act immediately. Remove the liquid with a soft absorbent cloth. Any areas involved in the spill should then be cleaned with a cloth moistened with lukewarm water and appropriately wrung out.
- Stubborn stains should be addressed by a professional leather cleaning resource.
