The Dune Sofa was inspired by the refined yet malleable feats of nature created with humble grains of sand. Each sofa is shaped by hand, one at a time, and features impeccably tailored upholstery over smooth transitions with crisp seams. The resulting silhouette is an architectural embrace, structured yet comfortable. It’s perched on a solid walnut base with four feet, creating the illusion of hovering over the floor and making it beautiful from any angle, whether against a wall or in the center of a room. Available in two sizes and crafted in our American workrooms.

Frame is solid maple. Construction is screwed, glued and double doweled for true heirloom quality.

The graceful curves of the body demand an absolute mastery of the craft.

The bench seat cushion contains a high-resilience polyurethane foam core, wrapped in a high thread count 100% cotton envelope that’s down-filled.

The exposed wood base is made from solid American black walnut, finished in a durable conversion varnish coating.

Upholstery
- Furniture upholstered in textiles can be maintained by vacuuming gently using a soft brush attachment. A high-quality velvet brush can be used to restore the nap on pile fabrics.
- Down-filled seat cushions and back pillows will need to be consistently fluffed to restore their loft.
- Seat cushion covers can be adjusted by unclipping the hooks and rings and unzipping the cover to realign the seams of the cover and ticking insert.
- Steaming, deep-cleaning, and stain removal should follow the textile manufacturer’s instructions.
- Stain removal and general cleaning of leather wrapped furniture should follow the precise instructions of the leather supplier.
- When in doubt, consult a leather specialist.
- Remove dust with a dry or damp lint-free microfiber cloth.
- Gentle hand dishwashing liquid diluted with water and applied with a microfiber cloth can be used for periodic cleaning.
- A silicone-free cleaner formulated specifically for wood furniture (like Guardsman Anytime Clean & Polish) can also be used when needed. Spray cleaner on cloth – never directly on the wood surface.
- Thoroughly dry the piece with a soft cloth after application of any moisture.
- Never use solvents or abrasives or cleaners not specifically designed for use on fine wood furniture.
- Limit direct exposure to UV light sources as it can cause wood colors to change.
- The use of placemats and coasters will help to avoid superficial scratches. Installing felt dots on the underside of objects also helps to preserve the surface.
- If the finish on well-loved HOLLY HUNT furniture looks tired, an application of Howard Restor-A-Finish (in the color closest to the finish of the piece) followed by Howard Feed-N-Wax can work wonders to rejuvenate. Closely follow the manufacturer’s instructions for use.
