Description
An iconic signature piece by JMW studio, the Cloud Polished Chandelier is freehand- and mouth-blown, offered in either bubbled glass—an homage to the Biot glassware technique, where trapped bubbles become a focus pattern—or opaque colored glass. For the opaque glass, multiple layers of color are first melted and fused onto a transparent glass base, which gives rise to tonal variations. As the opaque glass is blown and stretched, shifts in color density appear. Each opaque glass sphere is then blown into a handwoven brass nest, resulting in a complex crystallized form. With nuances in bubble texture, color and form in each glass piece, every chandelier composition is uniquely its own—no two are exactly alike.

Care & Assembly
- Clean with a very soft, dry cloth or breathe onto a soft cloth then rub gently in the direction of the patina.
- Do not use abrasive cloths or cleaners as this may scratch or damage the finish.
- Clean polished metal or polished stainless with a damp cloth.
- Do not use commercial or heavy-duty polishes or waxes, as they may scratch or damage the finish.
- Polishes we recommend are Brasso, Simichrome, or our favorite Flitz; these can be used without inflicting damage even for the unskilled user, unless the polished surface has a wax sealer coat.
- Polishes will remove the wax while polishing the metal, but the surface would then have to be re-waxed if it is on a metal that needs to be sealed.
- Clean by wiping with a soft dry cloth.
- Blown glass and crystal can be cleaned by wiping with a soft damp cloth or glass cleaner with no additives.
- Apply glass cleaner to a soft cloth rather than directly on to the fixture to avoid overspray that may damage other finishes.
