Description
The Aurora Chandelier, by artist Stefan Gulassa, is a bronze fixture crafted using the lost wax casting process (or cire perdue), where molten bronze is poured into a ceramic mold made from hand-sculpted wax. The result is a hovering sculpture with bronze forms wrapped around an LED ring, which creates juxtaposing intervals of solid metal and soft illumination. Each bronze element shows variations in texture and shape, culminating in a chandelier that commands attention from every angle, both at a distance and up close.
