Description
Samuel Nnorom (b. 1990, Nigeria) began his artistic journey at age nine, sketching customers in his father’s shoe workshop and later drawing inspiration from his mother’s tailoring. His work combines Ankara fabric scraps, discarded clothing and foam, which he sews, rolls, ties, and suspends to create textured, colorful sculptures. With an MFA in sculpture from the University of Nigeria, Nnorom is a member of the New Nsukka School of Art, exploring the intersection of textile, painting and sculpture.

Artist
Samuel Nnorom
Samuel Nnorom is a multidisciplinary artist whose sculptural textile works fuse traditional craftsmanship with contemporary conceptualism. Using Ankara fabric scraps, discarded foam and fibers, he creates voluminous, bubble-like forms that blur the lines between painting, textile and sculpture.
