Description
Samuel Nnorom discovered his artistic talent at age nine while helping his father in his shoe workshop, where he began drawing customers. Influenced by his mother’s tailoring workshop, his work is often composed of Ankara fabric scraps, cast-off clothing and discarded foam and fibers. These materials are sewn, rolled, tied and suspended to form colorful bubbles that blur the lines between textile, painting and sculpture. Nnorom holds an MFA in sculpture from the University of Nigeria and is a member of the New Nsukka School of Art.

Cleaning & Care
When hanging the artwork, use appropriate hanging hardware and ensure it’s securely attached to the wall. Use a level to ensure it hangs straight. Avoid hanging the artwork near sources of heat, moisture or smoke, as these can damage the canvas over time.

Samuel Nnorom is a multidisciplinary artist whose sculptural textile works fuse traditional craftsmanship with contemporary conceptualism. Using Ankara fabric scraps, discarded foam and fibers, he creates voluminous, bubble-like forms that blur the lines between painting, textile and sculpture.
