Description
Inspired by nature and objects, Nucharin Wangphongsawasd’s Metamorphosis series reflects her training in industrial design and architecture at King Mongkut’s University in Thonburi, Thailand, and woodworking at the Rochester Institute of Technology in New York. This five-part series embodies the concept of the life cycle, presenting wooden forms that are airy yet strong, illustrating the resilience of both natural and man-made creations.

Nucharin Wangphongsawasd
Nucharin Wangphongsawasd earned her Bachelor of Architecture in industrial design from King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi in 2007 and studied woodworking and furniture design at Rochester Institute of Technology in 2009. She has exhibited solo with Serindia Gallery and participated in international shows like RePAPER and Creative Expo Taiwan. Wangphongsawasd also teaches woodworking at Thai universities. Her work, inspired by repetitive patterns in nature and man-made objects, explores forms through various woodworking techniques.
