Founded by husband and wife team Christian and Heidi Batteau, ASSEMBLAGE handcrafts exquisite bespoke wallpaper. Their fine arts designs continue to accumulate accolades and find homes in museum collections and the masterfully designed residential and commercial interiors. They have created wallpapers for clients such as Chanel, Louis Vuitton, and Tiffany & Co.

After many years working in textiles and art for architecture in New York the couple relocated to Arkansas, where ASSEMBLAGE is now housed in a repurposed seed mill. There, alongside a small team of artisans, the Batteaus practice centuries-old techniques to craft made-to-order luxury wallcoverings with the highest quality, all-natural materials such as Venetian plaster, gold leaf, beeswax, shell, and mica. Everything is done by hand, including mixing the paints and plasters, providing the opportunity to create custom wallpaper for any size project.

The Batteaus proudly practice sustainable manufacturing, and achieve the highest standards of quality and artistry, continuing a rich tradition of American craftsmanship.
