Miik Green

Visual artist and scientific researcher Miik Green draws his inspiration from the molecular examination of nature as well as mathematics and physics. While the development of scientific thought is methodical and structured, art is often not—and that tension between his two worlds creates a profound abstract style based on logical application. Based in Perth, Australia, Green has derived his method from scientific studies but applied it with artistic freedom. His works, made on aluminum using an unconventional resin, resemble the information gathered by peering through the lens of a microscope. This is reflected in the vibrant Hoescht series, which has a lively and contemporary vibe.
