Stria Vase

The Stria Vase takes inspiration from the elongated shape and varied decorations of antique Byzantine amphoras. Despite the traditional influence, it’s decidedly modern in craft. Each vase is individually wheel-thrown with a warm white earthenware, hand-sanded to achieve a pure unglazed surface, then finished with a striped glaze applied by brush by ceramicist Kerim Demirkan. Each vase is distinct in form, and no two are alike.
