Seedling No.19
-
Description
Seedling is a series of coil-built forms by Zachary Weber representing the first signs of life—growth breaking through its container. Each ceramic silhouette is cut into various forms, displaced and reintegrated into itself, a process that involves play, experimentation and the embrace of uncertainty. A voluminous form, pierced through with oval cutouts and flecked with gold details, this glazed ceramic sculpture engages the viewer to explore what’s within and beyond its shape, where light becomes subject matter and negative spaces turn positive.
