The Ribbon Vase by ceramist Chloe Park is part of a body of work dreamed up and produced during a residency in Tuscany. Drawing from Park’s former career in fashion, the voluminous shape is inspired by the draped fabrics of 1950s haute couture by Givenchy and Dior, as well as the avant-garde designs of Rei Kawakubo of Comme des Garçons. Park uses a meticulous drying process that takes 3–4 weeks for each piece before they are coated in layers of thinly applied glaze.
