Raspberry Prairie I

Description
Artist John Muller on Raspberry Prairie I: “A field of wild flowers takes on infinite hues as the light changes from the haze of dawn to the last gasp of sundown. A subtle hue creates a slight wrinkle in the uniformity. The texture and sheen of the alizarin crimson oil paint was the integral element of this diptych. The glistening effect was created adding multiple layers of oil paint to a coarse canvas to break it into a texture of individual elements. The slightly raised line adds to the movement of the wind which keeps it from being stagnant.”
