Description
The Gigi Chair is among the designs Vladimir Kagan devoted himself to through the final years of his life. Three years in development, it is one of the last Kagan designs guided by Vladimir from its inception to completion. The seat is low, surrounded by a carved frame of dramatic twisting curves. A descendant of Kagan’s signature Contour series, the Gigi Chair’s futuristic look is eye-catching in any space.

The internal frame is domestically crafted using kiln-dried solid maple for signature durability.

The dramatic twisting shapes of the external frame are achieved by manipulating solid walnut wood through a multistep steam bending process.

The frame’s intricate details must be carved by a computerized machine for precision.

Every facet of the frame is hand-sanded and assembled by an experienced woodworker.

Hand-sculpted upholstery foam is molded to cradle every contour of the body.

All materials are patterned, cut, and tailored by hand.

- Remove dust with a dry or damp lint-free microfiber cloth.
- Gentle hand dishwashing liquid diluted with water and applied with a microfiber cloth can be used for periodic cleaning.
- A silicone-free cleaner formulated specifically for wood furniture (like Guardsman Anytime Clean & Polish) can also be used when needed. Spray cleaner on cloth – never directly on the wood surface.
- Thoroughly dry the piece with a soft cloth after application of any moisture.
- Never use solvents or abrasives or cleaners not specifically designed for use on fine wood furniture.
- Limit direct exposure to UV light sources as it can cause wood colors to change.
- The use of placemats and coasters will help to avoid superficial scratches. Installing felt dots on the underside of objects also helps to preserve the surface.
- If the finish on well-loved VLADIMIR KAGAN furniture looks tired, an application of Howard Feed-N-Wax Wood Polish and Conditioner will rejuvenate your product. Closely follow the manufacturer’s instructions for use.
