Description
Vladimir Kagan designed the First Side Chair for his parents’ home in 1947 when he was only 20 years old. The chair boasts a simple silhouette that’s defined by its flared legs and dynamic lines, which became a basis for Kagan’s designs in future decades. As an ode to the original design, the chair comes in a smaller size that’s a direct replica of its vintage proportions as well as a larger-scaled version to complement a variety of modern and contemporary spaces.

Care & Assembly
- Remove dust with a dry or damp lint-free microfiber cloth.
- Gentle hand dishwashing liquid diluted with water and applied with a microfiber cloth can be used for periodic cleaning.
- A silicone-free cleaner formulated specifically for wood furniture (like Guardsman Anytime Clean & Polish) can also be used when needed. Spray cleaner on cloth – never directly on the wood surface.
- Thoroughly dry the piece with a soft cloth after application of any moisture.
- Never use solvents or abrasives or cleaners not specifically designed for use on fine wood furniture.
- Limit direct exposure to UV light sources as it can cause wood colors to change.
- The use of placemats and coasters will help to avoid superficial scratches. Installing felt dots on the underside of objects also helps to preserve the surface.
- If the finish on well-loved VLADIMIR KAGAN furniture looks tired, an application of Howard Feed-N-Wax Wood Polish and Conditioner will rejuvenate your product. Closely follow the manufacturer’s instructions for use.
