Designed in 1952 and redeveloped for the Classic collection, the Elegante Dining Chair is a predecessor to some of Vladimir Kagan’s most iconic sculpted frames. With its sleek sling seat and flared pedestal base, the Elegante’s understated silhouette pairs well as an alternative side chair alongside other Kagan dining chair designs.

The internal frame is domestically crafted using kiln-dried solid maple for signature durability.

The external structure of carved solid walnut wood is assembled and sanded by hand.

Hand-sculpted upholstery foam is molded to cradle every contour of the body.

COM/L is applied to facilitate tight upholstery around distinctive, complex curves.

All materials are patterned, cut, and tailored by hand.

Respect for traditional handcraft promises “Heirloom Quality,” while modern materials and techniques maintain longevity and performance.

Finished with layers of hand-rubbed oil, expertly applied to enhance the depth and luster of the woodgrain.

- Remove dust with a dry or damp lint-free microfiber cloth.
- Gentle hand dishwashing liquid diluted with water and applied with a microfiber cloth can be used for periodic cleaning.
- A silicone-free cleaner formulated specifically for wood furniture (like Guardsman Anytime Clean & Polish) can also be used when needed. Spray cleaner on cloth – never directly on the wood surface.
- Thoroughly dry the piece with a soft cloth after application of any moisture.
- Never use solvents or abrasives or cleaners not specifically designed for use on fine wood furniture.
- Limit direct exposure to UV light sources as it can cause wood colors to change.
- The use of placemats and coasters will help to avoid superficial scratches. Installing felt dots on the underside of objects also helps to preserve the surface.
- If the finish on well-loved VLADIMIR KAGAN furniture looks tired, an application of Howard Feed-N-Wax Wood Polish and Conditioner will rejuvenate your product. Closely follow the manufacturer’s instructions for use.
