    The Cast Sculpted Dining Table is based on a series of pieces Vladimir Kagan created as a reaction to and rejection of the Bauhaus-inspired rigidity that was becoming standard in modern design. A sinuous, sculpted base draws the eye upward into a dynamic joint that grows out to support a round glass top, customizable up to a 50-inch diameter.

    • Made by hand by highly skilled craftspeople in the USA.
    • Developed from a hand-carved prototype, the frame is cast in bronze domestically.
    • The natural sand texture finish creates a unique surface quality with tactile variations in the metal’s surface.
    • Each frame is individually polished and burnished by hand in a range of finishes: Cisco Sand (light), Quidnet Sand (medium) or Nobadeer Sand (dark).
    • Respect for traditional handcraft promises “heirloom quality,” while modern materials and techniques maintain longevity and performance.
    • Available with a signature free-form top in ¾-inch-thick clear glass, Starfire glass or hand-cast textured glass.

Product Care
Glass
  • Remove dust with a dry or damp lint-free microfiber cloth.
  • Additive-free glass cleaner can be used if needed. Spray glass cleaner on the cloth – never directly on the glass. Take care to avoid glass cleaner contact with other materials (like wood or metal).
  • Never use solvents or abrasives or cleaners not specifically designed for use on glass.
Patinated Cast Bronze
  • Remove dust with a dry or damp lint-free microfiber cloth.
  • Gentle hand dishwashing liquid diluted with water and applied with a microfiber cloth can be used for periodic cleaning.
  • Thoroughly dry the piece with a soft cloth after application of any moisture.

Vladimir Kagan

Vladimir Kagan pioneered the enduring voice of midcentury modern design. A designer of not simply furniture but what he called “vessels to hold the human body,” Kagan joined the portfolio in 2016, personally entrusting his legacy to HOLLY HUNT. Kagan’s designs radiate his vitality and passion for discovery. Born in Worms, Germany in 1927, he emigrated to the U.S. at the age of 11, just before the dawn of WWII. From his father’s repeated admonishment “Ehre das Handwerk!” (“Honor the handcraft!”), Vladimir inherited an appreciation of artisan skill which, combined with his innovative design sensibility, was key to his success.
