    As the name implies, Kevin Reilly’s Altar Hanging Light is a streamlined architectural interpretation of that age-old plinth, where candles are often the focal point. In this case, it’s his patented creation – electrified candles hand-carved from actual wax – in varying sizes that cast light upwards and downwards through discrete vents in the handcrafted steel tray. This fixture comes in five standard sizes that can incorporate 11 to 29 candles with customization options, for indoor and outdoor use.

Famous for his innovative use of electrical light in wax candles, Kevin Reilly’s designs are rustic and romantic yet refined and chic. A self-taught artist, he creates clean, minimalist custom indoor and outdoor light fixtures for architects and designers. Reilly has been a treasured HOLLY HUNT collaborator since 2001.

For Reilly’s masterful team in Montgomery, AL, the meticulous production process begins and ends in the workshop, starting with steel sheets that are fabricated and finished by hand into finely crafted fixtures.
