Humans Since 1982
Humans since 1982 elevate and subvert everyday objects like clocks, smartphones, and surveillance equipment in their art. They create visually engaging and technically challenging works by liberating industrially produced objects from their administrative functions. The artists combine conceptual exploration with mischievousness and meticulous problem-solving to create deceptively minimal pieces. Their focus is on the human experience, using technology to explore motivations and anxieties.
Humans Since 1982 studio hand-assembles all their products on-site. "A Million Times 120" is a piece composed of 120 rotating clock faces that synchronize once a minute to display accurate digital time. It is made of white Corian, limited edition 22/82, and combines art with technology.
